Frequently Asked Questions

How do I import music?

Tap the Import tab at the bottom of the screen. Choose Choose from Files to pick audio files from Files, iCloud Drive, or Downloads, or tap Device Library to scan your device storage. You can also share audio files directly from any app using the iOS Share Sheet — just tap Share → Offline Music Player.

What audio formats are supported?

The app supports MP3, M4A, AAC, FLAC, WAV, AIFF, OPUS, OGG, ALAC, and WMA.

Does the app require an internet connection?

No. Offline Music Player is fully offline. Your audio files are stored on your device and played back locally — no internet connection is ever required.

How do I create a playlist?

Go to the Playlists tab and tap the + button. Give your playlist a name, then add songs from your library. You can drag to reorder tracks within the playlist.

How do I rate a song or mark it as a favourite?

Long-press any song in your library to open the options sheet. From there you can mark it as a favourite or set a star rating. You can also edit these from the full-screen player.

The Live Activity / Dynamic Island is not showing — what should I check?

Make sure Live Activities are enabled for Offline Music Player in Settings → Offline Music Player → Live Activities. The Dynamic Island is only available on iPhone 14 Pro and later. The Lock Screen widget appears on all supported devices running iOS 16.2 or later.

How do I delete a song from the app?

Long-press the song in your library and tap Delete in the options sheet. This removes the song from the app's library and deletes the audio file from your device.

My song shows 0:00 duration — how do I fix it?

Some audio files do not embed duration metadata. The app will attempt to probe the duration automatically during import. If it still shows 0:00, try re-importing the file.

How do I restore a previous queue after closing the app?

Your queue and playback position are automatically saved. When you reopen the app, the last queue and position are restored — just press play.
